The Election Commission has slapped a notice on Gujarat Congress President Arjun Mothwadia for violating the Model Code of Conduct for his monkey remark against state Chief Minister Narendra Modi and for raking up his personal life. The Commission in its meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath decided to issue the notice to Mothwadia to show cause why action should not be taken againsthim for violation of Model Code.
