A tsunami warning has been issued for parts of the Pacific region after a massive earthquake off the Philippines.
The quake with a 7.9 magnitude was centered off the east coast, some 60 kilometres from Samar province.
The tsunami alert has been issued for several countries including Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan and Papua New Guinea.
