Celebrity hairdresser Vidal Sassoon dies at 84

The man credited with revolutionising hairdressing in the 1960s, Vidal Sassoon has died at his home in Los Angeles. He was 84. As the creator of the "bob" hairstyle, he was best known for his short, geometric cuts. One of his best-known clients was mini-skirt designer Mary Quant who called Sassoon the "Chanel of hair".
