An 11-year-old girl is carried out of the Lahore High Court kicking and screaming.

Born to a Pakistani father and a French mother, Aminah has been living with her father in Pakistan since immediately after her birth.

But the presiding judge declared it was illegal for the father to bring the newborn to Pakistan against her mother's will, and awarded custody of the child to her mother.

Aminah's father is currently in hospital due to a heart ailment.

Local media reported Aminah told the court her father is in hospital because "of that French woman."

The mother is in Lahore, ready to take custody of her daughter.
