The Shah Alam High Court on Thursday (Jan 29) dismissed a bail application by 19-year-old D. Thineswary, who is charged with abetting the murder of a university student, after ruling that the requirements for bail had not been met.

Thineswary was charged on July 10 with abetting her boyfriend, M. Sri Darvien, in the murder of 20-year-old Maniishapreet Kaur Akhara at a condominium in Cyberjaya between 9.11pm and 11.31pm on June 23.
