A massive winter storm continued to hit large parts of the US on Sunday, dumping snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Frigid temperatures, power outages, and treacherous road conditions were widespread.

The National Weather Service says the storm is expected to continue through Monday. Heavy snow is forecast from the Ohio Valley to the Northeast, while ice threatens the Lower Mississippi Valley to the Southeast. (Video courtesy of WPVI via AP)
