Mahant Narendra Giri Maharaj, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad was found dead at his residence in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. One of his disciples, Anand Giri, whose name was mentioned in the suicide note, has been detained. In other news, Charanjit Singh Channi became the first Dalit community member to become the Punjab chief minister, following the resignation of Captain Amarinder Singh.
