Horrified residents watched as their four-storey house collapsed today (June 13th) in eastern India.

The house, which was built at the edge of an irrigation canal, began to tilt this morning giving residents time to evacuate the property safely.

According to local media, recent dredging work in the canal may have de-stabilised the home which was owned by a local businessman.
