NewsX: The Food Security ordinance has again been deferred by 3 to 6 months by the Union Cabinet, another chance to enact a law guaranteeing cheap food grains to almost 70% of the population passed up. The UPA government has instead decided to call for a special parliament session to pass the bill given the huge opposition backlash against them.
