Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s right-hand man, Alex Cifuentes, testified during court against Guzman. Cifuentes said Guzman bribed a former Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto with $100 million. According to Business Insider, the bribery was conveyed to the former president through an intermediary. Throughout Guzman’s trial it was revealed that he bribed various law-enforcement and political figures. This is the third month since Guzman’s trial began in the Eastern District of New York.
