U.S. evangelist Billy Graham has died at age 99.
A spokesman said he died at his home in Montreat, North Carolina at 8 a.m.
Graham became the de facto White House chaplain to several U.S. presidents.
He was the first noted evangelist to take his message behind the Iron Curtain.
Graham’s mastery of the media was ground-breaking.
He was one of the first preachers to use television to reach a mass audience.
