The controversial e-rickshaw in New Delhi takes off

The government of India, thanks to an amendment in the Motor Vehicles Act, cleared battery operated vehicles, e-rickshaw and e-cart, in the three-wheeler category to ply on road. The notification also suggests a few qualifications.
