In three years of peace talks between the Colombian government and FARC guerrillas, major progress has been made, with agreements reached on four out of six agenda points. In September a historic agreement placed victim compensation at the heart of achieving justice, but major hurdles remain, including underdevelopment in the countryside and paramilitary violence. “Peace is going to be reached with the guerrillas,” said a widow interviewed by teleSUR, “but what about the paramilitary groups?
