Antique gramophone "Maestrophone" Paillard driven by a Stirling Engine heated by a spirit lamp. It was built by E. Paillard & Cie in her factory of Sainte-Croix, Switzerland, between 1910 and 1914. The reading head is branded Pathé (sapphire). The video shows what is under the hood, how it is made, how it works. It shows also the gramophone playing some old records. The first owner of this gramophone never came back from the war of 1914-1918. Her sister inherited of this machine which came to us by a long long way.
