They walk by me,
like a pack of vicious wolves,
eying a single rabbit.
I hear their low rumbling growls,
eyes glazed with silent hatred. Or was it envy?
Scared, nervous, my heart beating wildly,
I scuttled away
and gave a precious, timid smile
which they halfheartedly
with their too-white wolf teeth-
but the smiles only lasted for a second,
then was replaced with a scowl.
They tossed their dyed blonde, streaky hair
and ran away howling,
defeated by one confident little rabbit.
